Between Two Infinities

By Aggie, TIWP Student

The ocean deep crashes loud,
spitting cold,
foaming at the mouth
that it might swallow me
from the horizon, rocking up and down.

On the angry surface
dance the stars
so I look up
and I am smaller
beneath the endless darkness
which sits silent, still, unmarked.

Beneath the quiet
and above the storm,
I am nothing,
nothing more.
