I will not hold on to what doesn’t serve me. I will not give up what I know for sure. I will not whisper my secret into the microphone. I will not stop my clock for your race. I will not pretend to feel insecure. I will not put on a show for your smile. I will not waltz to a bad tune. I will not write a love letter just for the memento. I will not be perfect. I will not ask a question if I know the answer. I will not daydream your reality, which is toxic. I may not stick to these vows. But I will not hold on to what doesn’t serve me, and I will not foster any guilt for that.
