The first year of high school?
It’s overwhelming, but don’t let it drown you
In the moment it might feel hard to let go
I know
But don’t box yourself in like I did
Too preoccupied with homework, no time to talk, my patience ran thin
Because my programming said priorities before people
Before experiences, fun, laughing
Before life
That line that barred me from undeserved free time?
It wouldn’t be crossed
Don’t be like me, dwelling on time lost
Regrets, they come with a cost
