Take trains by yourself to places you’ve never been.
Look at the architecture, the history, the flowers.
Sit in a cafe and people watch.
Kid, you’ve got to love yourself.
Don’t whisper, don’t surrender, don’t apologize.
Be you, be unafraid.
Kiss who you want to kiss, or don’t kiss at all.
Stare as much as you want, and make them look away.
Go to museums and just sit in front of your favorite exhibit,
Life is too short not to live to the fullest or to question it.
Do the thing you want to do even if your friends are busy.
Explore different continents, try exotic delicacies.
Own a large closet, and know when to dress down or up.
Above all, be comfortable in your own skin.
Don’t do anything to please others, only yourself.
Don’t be afraid to talk about things that interest you.
You are a work of art, I promise.
It’s like Dr. Seuss said:
Those who mind, don’t matter, and those who matter, don’t mind.
I wish I had known the accent of wisdom’s voice
when I was younger.
Folly was ever my companion in youth.
Often I spend time with her daughter,
regret.
