It is too difficult to write flawless poetry
or words that encapsulate exactly what the mind speaks.
The psyche is too profound to be consummately represented on paper.
Yet in a world that praises masks to hide our passions behind
we must write our emotions into existence.
We must let the world make a spectacle of our feelings
and understand that this vulnerability is strength rather than weakness.
In a culture that values hardness over delicacy
we must allow ourselves the freedom to express raw emotion.
Whether or not your words achieve this cadence you pray for
they hold value and must be shared.
Let us redefine strength
for a wall that conceals can always be broken down,
but a resilient mind remains unshakeable.
Writing builds you up in a world that seeks to tear you down.
Be vulnerable.
Be strong.
Be a writer.
