i am standing in a field
surrounded by wildflowers
they are all staring
laughing
at me
me and my overthinking
me and my hopefulness that never goes anywhere
me and my cold sheets
me and how alone i am
and i am just searching
for somebody
anybody
who sees how i see
who hears how i hear
who can hold my hand
and tell me
it’ll be okay
who will kiss away my tear-stained face
who will love me for who i am
not what i could be
so if that person is out there
somewhere
just come home.
