Grayscale Lived In

By Hazel Smith, TIWP Student

grayscale went over every word i said
the two of us drifted
loved you til the day i was pronounced dead
drove myself mad
cries escaped me
as i bled
breath stopped filling my lungs
drowned in a pool of red burial
on wednesday
with the shovel from your shed
six feet under
should’ve been you instead
