She visits me in butterflies.
I don’t know when she will arrive or when she will leave,
She simply flies into my life unannounced.
She used to knock on our door,
She shaped my wings.
But as all butterflies do, she dissolved before our eyes
Yet she simply didn’t have enough time to transform.
I miss the knocks on the door
And it feels as though my wings have been clipped.
But there is no point being angry with it,
Because now she visits me in butterflies.

Beautiful! I love the line, “She shaped my wings” Clearly someone who had a big influence on who you are. I could really relate to this piece as I have someone who visits me in hummingbirds.
